Lewiston Hot August Nights
Lewiston’s Hot August Nights kicked off in August of 1986, and began to bring the Lewis Clark Valley a taste of great music and artists they never had a chance to experience before. After the initial success of the first few years, a classic car show was added to the mix. It has quickly turned into one of the Valley’s favorite summer events. As time passed, Cat-FM grew, acquiring three additional stations and an online news site, Dailyfly, now collectively known as Dailyfly Media. As the company has grown, so has Lewiston’s Hot August Nights and the non-profits they have partnered with. The classic car show has become a fruitful fundraiser for the non-profits, with over three hundred cars from all over the US participating. Lewiston’s Hot August Nights is truly a community event! Downtown Lewiston’s streets are closed so all the classic cars can be displayed. The event starts on Thursday at the local Toyota dealership (Rogers Toyota) with a preview of classic cars on their lot. Friday night is a valley favorite with the classic car cruise. All these events lead up to Saturday’s car show and award ceremony, where old friends meet up and take in the sight of cars brought in from all over.
